The home opener (Flying Tigers) is set for Saturday, April 7 against the Yankees. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and gates to Marchant Stadium will open at 4:30 p.m. The first 1,200 fans that enter the ballpark will receive a free 2012 Flying Tigers magnet schedule sponsored by the Imperial Swan Hotel & Suites.
Following the game will be the Publix Super Markets Easter Egg Hunt. Over 20,000 candy and toy filled eggs will be scattered across the field at Joker Marchant Stadium following the game. The egg hunt is open to children ages 14 and under and there will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. Following the egg hunt will be a spectacular fireworks show (weather permitting).
